The suspect allegedly brandished a handgun at him and fled the area before the San Jose Police Department arrived. Timothy Headman, 48 years old, a resident of San Jose, was able to be identified as the culprit by the police.
An investigation was initiated by the San Jose Police Department’s Assaults Unit, which subsequently obtained a search warrant for Headman’s residence.
The next day, on October 7, patrol officers came across Headman’s vehicle and made a traffic stop in order to enforce traffic laws. As he was being taken into custody, law enforcement officers discovered a rifle magazine and ammo on his person.
A search warrant was carried out at Headman’s residence by detectives from the Assaults Unit, as well as members of the Special Operations Violent Crimes Enforcement Team (VCET) and the Metro Unit Detectives.
